Description: Evergreen perennial plant with branched stems. The leaves are round and dense like tiles set on the stem. The leaf face is bare, and the back is overgrown with golden hairs. The leaves are covered by the sporangia.
Flowering time: June to August
Habitat: Cracks in rocks and walls
Interesting: The Latin name of the genus originates from the Greek word splen which means spleen (corresponding to the shape of a leaf, reminding of the spleen). The Croatian name zlatinjak refers to the golden hairs on the leaf blades.
