Description: Perennial white-ash color. The whole plant is covered with fine, thick, woolly hairs. The lower leaves are larger than the upper ones and are serrated. Venation is emphasized on all leaves. The flowers are collected in bright yellow flower heads, which are wrapped in snow-white sheatingleaves. The fruit is a hairy achenium.
Flowering time: Blooms from June to August.
Habitat: cracks in rocks and drystone walls
Interesting fact: it looks like a medicinal sage, but the white sage itself has no healing properties.
